All eyes on Moscow as UIPM World Championships begin

The Olympic Stadium in Moscow (RUS) will be the focus of the Modern Pentathlon world over the coming week as it hosts the 2016 UIPM World Championships. For some it will be a dress rehearsal for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro; for others it will be the last chance to book a place. Automatic qualification is up for grabs for the top three finishers in the men’s and women’s individual events, and all competitors can continue to gain ranking points in their bid to qualify via the back door.

The action begins on Monday, May 23 with the Women’s Relay and concludes on Sunday, May 29 with the Mixed Relay. The individual finals take place on Friday, May 27 (women) and Saturday, May 28 (men). The climactic Combined Event of all finals will be available to watch via live stream at UIPMTV.org while a full results service will be available at pentathlon.org.
