UIPM 2019 Pentathlon and Laser Run World Championships: Women's Individual Finalists

Anastasiya Prokopenko of Belarus will seek to defend her Women’s Individual world title at the UIPM 2019 Pentathlon World Championships after coming through qualifying today.

The world No.8 will be up against all of the athletes ranked higher than her, led by the world No.1, 2012 Olympic champion Laura Asadauskaite of Lithuania.

Sarolta Kovacs, Tamara Asadauskaite and Michelle Gulyas of Hungary will fly the flag for the home nation in the final on Friday, September 6 after they also claimed three of the 36 available places.

A total of 68 athletes took part in qualification in the Pentathlon Arena at Kincsem Park in Budapest.

The UIPM 2019 Pentathlon and Laser Run World Championships run until September 8. The action continues tomorrow (September 5) with qualifying for the Men’s Final.
