UIPM 2021 Pentathlon World Cup Sofia (II): Women’s Finalists
UIPM 2021 Pentathlon World Cup Sofia (II) got under way today with 77 athletes taking part in the qualification round for the Women's Final.
Among the successful qualifiers were London 2012 Olympic champion Laura Asadauskaite of Lithuania and Olympic bronze medallists Oktawia Nowacka of Poland and Anastasiya Prokopenko of Belarus.
Three athletes who have already won individual medals in the UIPM 2021 Pentathlon World Cup season, Joanna Muir of Great Britain, Anna Maliszewska (POL) and Gintare Venckauskaite (LTU), also reached the final.
The final Pentathlon World Cup of the regular season continues tomorrow (April 16) with the Men's Qualification, followed by the Women’s Final and Men’s Final over the next three days.
