UIPM 2023 Pentathlon World Cup Cairo: Men’s Qualification

UIPM 2023 Pentathlon World Cup Cairo continued today with 75 athletes taking part in the men’s qualification round.

Among the successful qualifiers were Adam Marosi and Csaba Bohm of Hungary, Martin Vlach and Jan Kuf of Czech Republic, France trio Valentin Belaud, Valentin Prades and Christopher Patte, Pavlo Tymoshchenko of Ukraine, Taishu Sato of Japan and Franco Serrano of Argentina.

The first athletes across the line in Qualification Group A were Egypt team-mates Mohanad Shaban and Ahmed Hamed and Changwan Seo of Korea.

The top performer in Qualification Group B was Emiliano Hernandez of Mexico – top scorer on the day with 1,194 points – followed by Mohamed Elgendy and Mohamed Ibrahim (EGY).

Pentathlon World Cup Cairo continues tomorrow (March 9) with the Women's Semi-final, followed by the Men’s Semi-final on March 10, the Finals on March 11 and the Mixed Relay on March 12.
