UIPM 2023 Pentathlon World Cup Cairo: Women’s Qualification
UIPM 2023 Pentathlon World Cup Cairo began today with 67 athletes taking part in the women’s qualification round.
Among the successful qualifiers were world No.1 Michelle Gulyas of Hungary, Elena Micheli of Italy, Elodie Clouvel and Marie Oteiza of France, Jessica Varley and Olivia Green of Great Britain, Mariana Arceo of Mexico and Misaki Uchida of Japan.
The first athletes across the line in Qualification Group A were Malak Ismail of Egypt, Irene Prampolini (ITA) and Sehee Kim of Korea.
The top performers in Qualification Group B were Salma Abdelmaksoud (EGY) – top scorer on the day with 1,073 points – Gintare Venckauskaite of Lithuania and Alice Sotero (ITA).
Pentathlon World Cup Cairo continues tomorrow (March 8) with the Men's Qualification, followed by the Semi-finals on March 9-10, the Finals on March 11 and the Mixed Relay on March 12.
