UIPM 2024 Pentathlon U17 World Championships: Women’s Qualification

The UIPM 2024 Pentathlon U17 World Championships continued today with 63 athletes taking part in the Women’s Individual Qualification in Caldas da Rainha (POR).

The 18 best performers in each of two qualification groups earned passage to the Women’s Final. With 1,342 points Farida Khalil of Egypt won the first group by an impressive margin, while Hoyeon Lee of Korea finished 2nd and Samira Abzalova of Uzbekistan came home in 3rd.

The second group was tied between Diana Rajncsak of Hungary and Alia Enayet (EGY), with Charlotte Keister of Germany claiming 3rd place.

The UIPM 2024 Pentathlon U17 World Championships runs from September 10-15, continuing on Thursday, September 12 with the Men’s Individual Qualification.

Thirty-six female and 36 male athletes then compete in the Fencing Ranking Round on September 13 before competing in the Individual Finals the next day. The Mixed Relay closes the competition on Sunday September 15.
