The UIPM 2024 Pentathlon U19 World Championships continued today as the Fencing Ranking Round kicked off the Women’s and Men’s Individual Finals in the picturesque spa town of Druskininkai (LTU).

Farida Khalil of Egypt is chasing a staggering double triumph having already claimed U17 global supremacy two weeks ago. The remarkable 13-year-old got her Final challenge off to a strong start as she topped the Ranking Round with 25 Victories. However she won’t have it all her own way: Coline Flavin of France, always a big occasion performer, was just one Victory behind with Alia Enayet (EGY) and home hopeful Anastasija Kancyte of Lithuania both racking up 23 Victories each.

In the Men’s competition things were even tighter with a three-way tie atop the field, Jack Murray of Great Britain toasted 23 Victories but that tally was matched by compatriots Osama Zaki (EGY) and Mohamed Hassan (EGY), who teamed up on Tuesday to deliver Men’s Relay glory for the African powerhouse.

The UIPM 2024 Pentathlon U19 World Championships reaches a climax on Saturday, September 28 as the new individual world champions are confirmed. The Mixed Relay then closes the competition on September 29.
