Global Laser-Run City Tour 2018: Hitting the heights in La Paz (BOL)
Laser-Run has already spread across the latitude and longitude of the planet … and now it is happening at altitude.
The highest Global Laser-Run City Tour to date took place in La Paz, Bolivia, at 4200 metres above sea level, with 280 participants of various ages and socio-economic backgrounds.
This was not the only time the UIPM Sports movement made an impact in Bolivia recently.
The multi-sport South American Games – or ODESUR Games – also took place in Cochabamba from May 26 until June 8, with Modern Pentathlon on the programme.
Jorge Salas, President of the South America Modern Pentathlon Confederation, said: “There is great enthusiasm in Bolivia for our sport and it has increased with the extensive TV coverage of Modern Pentathlon in the 2018 ODESUR Games.”
The UIPM Global Laser-Run City Tour was created in 2017 to deliver an exciting, dynamic and fun competition to participants of all ages and offer them an entry point to UIPM Sports.
The Global LRCT took place in parks, stadiums and iconic urban venues in 60 cities around the world in 2017, with more than 15,000 participants. There are about 100 events scheduled in 2018.
