UIPM 2019 Pentathlon World Cup Szekesfehervar: Women's Individual Finalists

UIPM 2019 Pentathlon World Cup Szekesfehervar kicked off today in Hungary with 78 athletes taking part in the qualifying round for the Women's Individual Final.

Three Olympic medallists were among the qualifiers – Laura Asadauskaite of Lithuania (gold, London 2012), Elodie Clouvel of France (silver, Rio 2016) and Oktawia Nowacka of Poland (bronze, Rio 2016).

World No.7 Annika Schleu of Germany and No.9 Kate French of Great Britain also earned the right to compete in the final on Friday, May 3.

The top-performing athlete in the qualifying round was Elodie Clouvel (FRA).

Pentathlon World Cup Szekesfehervar continues tomorrow (May 2) with qualifying for the Men's Individual Final. The finals take place from May 3-5.
