UIPM 2021 Pentathlon World Cup Sofia (I): Men’s Finalists
UIPM 2021 Pentathlon World Cup Sofia (I) continued today with 99 athletes taking part in the qualification round for the Men's Final.
Among the successful qualifiers were world No.1 Joseph Choong of Great Britain, the Korea trio of Woongtae Jun, Jihun Lee and Jinhwa Jung (all ranked in the world’s top 20) and four top-30-ranked athletes from Germany – Patrick and Marvin Dogue, Fabian Liebig and Christian Zillekens.
Others who will be competing for medals in the Men’s Final are Rio 2016 Olympic silver medallist Pavlo Tymoshchenko of Ukraine, London 2012 Olympic bronze medallist Adam Marosi of Hungary and world No.3 Valentin Prades of France.
The first of two back-to-back Pentathlon World Cups in Sofia (BUL) continues tomorrow (April 9) with the Women’s Final, followed by the Men’s Final on April 10 and Mixed Relay on April 11.
