UIPM Masters Committee elections postponed to 2022

The UIPM Executive Board (EB) has agreed to postpone the UIPM Masters Committee elections to 2022 so that the process can take place during the next UIPM Masters World Championships.

In 2020, after the postponement and cancellation of almost all UIPM activities, the EB decided to extend the term of all elected bodies so that elections could take place during competitions in 2021 or the UIPM 2021 Congress, which is scheduled for November.

It was agreed that the Masters Committee could be elected electronically in 2021, in the absence of a global competition or gathering this year, but the EB has decided by force majeure to cancel that process based on feedback from the Masters community.

The election will now take place during the UIPM 2022 Masters World Championships, reverting to the original sequence of Olympic year and even-numbered years thereafter.
