The UIPM Executive Board has confirmed the composition of a five-strong Masters Working Group.
All National Federations were invited to nominate candidates and applications came from four continents. After careful consideration and evaluation, the following applicants were successful:
- Andra Novicka of Latvia: experienced Masters athlete who participates in Pentathlon, Biathle, Triathle and Laser Run; active international pentathlete (1994-2008); Board Member of Latvian Modern Pentathlon Federation (2021-)
- Nathalie Denoyes of France: experienced Masters athlete who participates in Pentathlon, Biathle, Triathle and Laser Run; in charge of Masters Commission of French Modern Pentathlon Federation (FFPM)
- Joseph Collins Ssemmanda of Uganda: experienced sports administrator and Secretary General of the Uganda Modern Pentathlon Federation (2020-); Level 1 UIPM Coach; Chairman of Kisubi Pirates Modern Pentathlon Club
- Hairul Nazwa of Singapore: Masters athlete in cycling and endurance sports with experience in competing and preparing athletes for Asian Modern Pentathlon Championships
- Juan Quintanilla of Guatemala: former pentathlete, competing now in Masters Laser Run events.
The appointment of the Masters Working Group follows the EB decision in May to find an interim solution to the lack of any UIPM Masters Committee election until 2024. The group will work with UIPM Headquarters on ongoing matters relating to the Masters movements.
The elected representatives will begin their duties with a first virtual meeting in early August.
