UIPM 2023 Pentathlon World Cup Ankara: Women’s Qualification

UIPM 2023 Pentathlon World Cup Ankara began today with 76 athletes taking part in the Women’s Qualification.

Among the successful qualifiers were Elodie Clouvel and Marie Oteiza of France, Jessica Varley and Olivia Green of Great Britain, Mexico duo Mariana Arceo and Tamara Vega, Alice Sotero of Italy, Salma Abdelmaksoud of Egypt and Misaki Uchida of Japan.

The top-scoring athlete of the day (1,079 points) and first across the line in Qualification Group A was Iryna Khokhlova of Ukraine, followed by Sotero (ITA) and Haydy Morsy (EGY).

Leading the line together at the end of Qualification Group B were Abdelmaksoud (EGY), Rebecca Langrehr of Germany and Arceo (MEX).

The standout performer in Group C was Haeun Jang of Korea, followed by Francesca Tognetti (ITA) and Vega (MEX).

Pentathlon World Cup Ankara continues tomorrow (April 12) with the Men's Qualification, followed by the Semi-finals on April 13-14, the Finals on April 15 and the Mixed Relay on April 16.
