Joshua-Riker Fox (CAN) lands new coaching role

Olympic pentathlete Joshua Riker-Fox, 36, has been named National Next Generation Development Coach by Pentathlon Canada.

As an athlete, Riker-Fox (CAN) competed in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and multiple UIPM Pentathlon World Championships and World Cups, where he won a Mixed Relay bronze in Sarasota (USA) in 2015. He ended his international career later that season at the Pan American Games.

Riker-Fox (CAN) holds an MBA in Sport Management, an undergraduate degree in Business and Kinesiology and is a certified UIPM Instructor.

He started coaching in 2015 and has trained athletes at the NORCECA Youth Championships, the Youth Olympic Games Qualifier and the UIPM Youth World Championships.

As National Next Generation Development Coach, he will support the development, performance, progression and planning process of athletes currently within, or entering, the high-performance level classification. The coach guides current and future elite athletes toward world-class performances. 

Pentathlon Canada plans to announce a new National Coach early in 2020.
