With Obstacle Laser Run now offering a third option to complement the established Global Laser Run City Tour (GLRCT) and Biathle-Triathle National Tour (BTNT), the UIPM Sports world is revolving with even more momentum in 2024.

During the UIPM 2024 Pentathlon and Laser Run World Championships, the UIPM Executive Board held a pivotal meeting where President Dr Schormann and colleagues made crucial decisions for the future.
New milestones were set and hosts for the UIPM 2025 and 2026 Pentathlon World Cup seasons were appointed. Additionally, all World Championships for the U15, U17, U19, Juniors, Senior, and Laser Run categories in 2025 were allocated.

UIPM is proud to announce the eighth round of scholarships for pentathletes, enabling them to pursue an online qualification in Sport Management from the prestigious University of London (UoL). This initiative is part of a Memorandum of Understanding between UIPM and the World Academy of Sport (WAoS), which began in 2020.

For two and a half years now, our community has been struggling with an emotional conflict – confronted with the reality of saying farewell to horses after 11 decades of equestrian association in Modern Pentathlon.
This transitional chapter is now coming to a close, with Zhengzhou having recently hosted the last major UIPM competition to feature Riding. And the emotional attachment to Riding is still powerful, as I could see when watching a feature about pentathletes on China’s main TV channel, CCTV.

The 72 athletes who will compete in Modern Pentathlon at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games have been named by the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM).
From June 23-30, the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation hosted the UIPM 2024 Pentathlon Junior World Championships and 2024 African Championships at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport in Alexandria (EGY).
Alongside the competitions, 30 participants attended Self-Discovery workshops, and 10 took part in CV/Resume writing sessions, led by Anfisa Kasyanova, a certified Athlete365 Career+ educator and UIPM Education and Project Manager.
