UIPM President Dr Klaus Schormann met the Director of the German Olympic Academy (DOA), Dr Gerald Fritz, in Darmstadt (GER).
MONACO: October 13, 2023 – The Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) today received confirmation from the IOC Executive Board that it has recommended Modern Pentathlon for inclusion on the sport programme of the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028.
The IOC EB’s recommendation will be voted on by the IOC Session in Mumbai on October 15-17.

The multi-sports movement in Asia is thriving!
After a fallow period when the movement struggled to gain post-pandemic momentum, UIPM’s magical Masters community has bounced back with a successful European Championships held in Chisinau (MDA).
The competition came out of an agreement between the European Modern Pentathlon Confederation and the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Moldova to transform a national Masters tournament into the Open European Masters Championships and host in the capital from October 20-22.

Dr Klaus Schormann, the UIPM President, participated in the European Olympic Committees (EOC) General Assembly. His purpose was to engage with all the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of Europe and explain the modifications to Modern Pentathlon with the integration of Obstacle and the advantages of the change.
