After a nerve-racking build-up, the UIPM 2024 Pentathlon World Cup Final gives 72 of the world’s finest pentathletes the chance to make a statement about their chances of Olympic glory at Paris 2024.
Unju Kim of Korea and Valentin Prades of France took the initiative on the first day of the UIPM 2024 Pentathlon World Cup Final in Ankara (TUR).
With a format mirroring the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Modern Pentathlon competition, the Fencing Ranking Round took place on day one and Unju (KOR) dominated the morning session with a superb performance comprising 27 victories and only eight defeats.

UIPM 2024 Pentathlon World Cup Sofia was a remarkable display of talent and determination. Athletes from around the globe competed fiercely, showcasing their skills and passion for the sport. The competition was intense and the performances were nothing short of inspiring.
Halfway through Super Saturday at the UIPM Pentathlon World Cup Final in Ankara, we broke from the competition to gather round a table. And it had to be a big one.
Around 25 members of our community – comprising UIPM Executive Board (EB), National Federation (NF) representatives, athletes and coaches – joined staff members in the room for an open discussion related to the future structure of our events.
