An Independent Disciplinary Panel has concluded its investigation into accreditation irregularities during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The Disciplinary Panel, after a full investigation, found no wilful misconduct by John Helmick but that he delegated entirely to a third party, without ensuring an adequate level of control in the supervision of accreditation, thereby violating article 2.1 (l) of the UIPM Code of Ethics.
A UIPM delegation led by Secretary General Shiny Fang, alongside Commercial & Esports Manager Yaw Amponsah Debrah and TV & Media Operations Manager Florent Boas, visited Tencent Headquarters in Shenzhen (CHN) immediately after the conclusion of the 73rd UIPM Congress.
